Everyday 05:08
I could live for days like these When the clouds part and the sun I see Nothing but time to bring worries But down I go through the rabbit hole of my mind She could never even dream of peace Can’t unplug her mind so she never stops receiving You can’t learn to love entirely If voices tell you just to give in to anxiety. But what if we joined forces Took our voices and lifted up in chorus You can’t learn to love if you never try to be found If everyday was like a miracle And every song we sang was heard in full If everyday was like a miracle Ahhhhh Take a look across the water Where old men wake and try to stand taller See the years on them compiling Each day it's harder just to keep on driving, but we Roll up into the city Join the millions more in a world without pity We all try to keep our heads as high as the clouds Take my hand, the world is coming right at you Much too fast to see the beauty we need to Take my hand, we won't try to outrun it this time I would live for days like these When the clouds part and the sun I see We all try to keep our heads as high as the sky If everyday was like a miracle And every song we sang was heard in full If everyday was like a miracle And every song we sang was heard in full If everyday © 2017 Elliconn Music (BMI). When did you realize I had such star-gazed eyes That might be sparkling just for you? Found out you’re streetwise Caffeinated and cross eyed, Just trying to see things like you do Maybe the odds they gave you Weren't quite enough to save you They’re all underwater now Pay up or get out! Take your money now, take it while you can, Someone else gonna play this hand Lay it all on the table now You’ll be playing till your cards come out Take it while it’s there, take it while you can You can’t rely on no other man Lay it all on the table now Well sometimes it’s about playing a poor hand well Flash flood came through Emptied up and buried you Chasing you right out of town You’re likely gonna lose And I’m tired of being used Time to move on while you’re down Let someone sober worry About what should be your hurry They’re all underwater now Pay up or get out! Take your money now, take it while you can Someone else gonna play this hand Lay it all on the table now You’ll be playing till your cards come out Take it while it’s there, take it while you can You can’t rely on no other man Lay it all on the table now Well sometimes it’s about playing a poor hand well Maybe the odds they gave you Aren’t quite enough to save you They’re all underwater now Pay up or get out! Take your money now, take it while you can Someone else gonna play this hand Lay it all on the table now You’ll be playing till your cards come out Take it while it’s there, take it while you can You can’t rely on no other man Lay it all on the table now Well sometimes it’s about playing a poor hand well © 2017 Elliconn Music (BMI). I'm lost And I can't seem to find my way home I've been burning up time Burning out my mind On an endless winding road All my burdens keep me hurtin' Ever present; ever certain All alone, they keep eating up my soul It's hard to see the future When the present doesn't suit ya Every day feels like a blinding cold Blinding cold There's a hole in my energy It's burning out my sanity Eroding the thrill of getting old I don't fit in with society Its blinding my integrity While undermining my goals It's blurring my intensity And muting my ability To avoid the bumps in the road I can't execute the skills I need Relax and keep my dreaming free While stumbling out in the cold I've been struggling for way way too long It's time for a change I'm ready to move on And, yes, I'm scared to right all my wrongs But I'll be okay, I'm stronger than I thought They're getting bold with technology It's eating up our decency So why do I feel so alone? I'm disconnected from my family My friends don't wanna talk to me It's getting out of control I turned from my destiny And filled it with an evil seed That soon began to take hold The truth was right in front of me That all along I held the key To let me in from cold In from the cold And I'm not gonna waste one minute of this life I got a second chance to do what is right I'm gonna dance in the rain, and lay out in the sunshine Take all my pain and turn it in into moonlight Take all my pain, and melt it with the sunshine Take all my pain, and turn it into white light Take all my pain, and give myself a good life

Only a River 06:58
Well, I was born up in the mountains Raised up in a desert town And I never saw the ocean Till I was close to your age now Oh Shenandoah, I long to see you Hey hey hey, your rolling river Oh Shenandoah, I long to see you Hey hey hey, only a river gonna make things right Only a river gonna make things right Only a river gonna make things right I'm going back to San Angelo The ground is hard and the count is dry But I'm gonna get my fill somehow Rivers of corn, and wheat and rye Oh Shenandoah, I long to see you Hey hey hey, your rolling river Oh Shenandoah, I long to see you Hey hey hey, only a river gonna make things right Only a river gonna make things right Only a river gonna make things right

There's mosquitoes on the river Fish are rising up like birds It's been hot for seven weeks now Too hot to even speak now Did you hear what I just heard? Say it might have been a fiddle Or it could have been the wind But there seems to be a beat now I can feel it in my feet now Listen here it comes again There's a band out on the highway They're high steppin' into town It's a rainbow full of sound It's fireworks, calliopes and clowns Everybody's dancin' Come on children, come on children Come on clap your hands The sun went down in honey And the moon came up in wine You know stars were spinnin' dizzy Lord the band kept us so busy We forgot about the time They're a band beyond description Like Jehovah's favorite choir People joining hand in hand while The music played the band Lord they're setting us on fire Crazy rooster crowin' midnight Balls of lightin' roll along Old men sing about their dreams Women laugh and children scream And the band keeps playin' on Keep on dancin' through the daylight Greet the mornin' air with song No ones's noticed, but the band's all pack and gone Was it ever there at all? But they keep on dancin' Come on children, come on children Come on clap your hands Well, the cool breeze came on Tuesday And the corn's a bumper crop And the fields are full of dancin' Full of singin' and romancin' But the music never stopped

I am an old woman named after my mother My old man is another child that's grown old If dreams were lightning thunder was desire This old house would have burnt down a long time ago Make me an angel that flies from Montgom'ry Make me a poster of an old rodeo Just give me one thing that I can hold on to To believe in this living is just a hard way to go When I was a young girl well, I had me a cowboy He weren't much to look at, just free rambling man But that was a long time and no matter how I try The years just flow by like a broken down dam. Make me an angel that flies from Montgom'ry Make me a poster of an old rodeo Just give me one thing that I can hold on to To believe in this living is just a hard way to go There's flies in the kitchen I can hear 'em there buzzing And I ain't done nothing since I woke up today. How the hell can a person go to work in the morning And come home in the evening and have nothing to say. Make me an angel that flies from Montgom'ry Make me a poster of an old rodeo Just give me one thing that I can hold on to To believe in this living is just a hard way to go

Can't keep from watching this wreck Like a slow car crash we all rubberneck Then they tell you that it's all on you You know that’s what they always had to do Oh this town just feels a little too small Just a couple of bars and that strip mall Did they always stare this hard? Or had you never gotten quite this far? It all starts, you're on a wire And all the noise just takes you higher Right now the last thing on your mind This is a few nights under the lights, then forty years on the grind I'll bet you had dreamed but not prepared What's the point when no one cared? Daddy fought and mama ran But you ain't the only one without a plan There's no blueprint for small time fame But no one ever told you all the same Hold on dear or throw it out? Even the best trip has no route The thunder roars, the song is cryin' But no one stops your heart from lyin' Right now the last thing on your mind This is a few nights under the lights, then forty years on the grind Now the need has gone away Off with believers who couldn't stay Somehow you've gotten good at this It's the rest of life that will give you fits Begin again, and now forever You've made the choice to do it better Right now the last thing on your mind This was a few nights under the lights, then forty years on the grind © 2017 Elliconn Music (BMI). about

Midnight North is Grahame Lesh, Elliott Peck, Connor O'Sullivan, Alex Jordan & Sean Nelson
The Northbound Horns are Michael Bello, Jay Jordan & Elizabeth Larsen

Friday, November 3, 2017 was a special day for Midnight North. A huge sold out show at a legendary San Francisco venue. Friends and family surrounding us onstage and off. Our own horn section of course, because as Bob Weir told us, “horns on the weekends”. And a 48 track recording rig capturing the whole thing.

Now we’re very excited to announce our new live album, “Selections from the Great American Music Hall”! This album features 8 of our favorite tracks from that special night. All 8 songs have unique arrangements and featured guests, including Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Mihali Savoulidis & Ryan Dempsey of Twiddle, and the Northbound Horns. The list of highlights on this album is prodigious. We have Midnight North favorites “Under the Lights” & “Miss M” with all new horn arrangements, Mihali rocking Twiddle's hit “Lost in the Cold” & Bob Weir tuggin' at our heartstrings with his amazing “Only a River” before leading us through a rollickin' version of the Grateful Dead’s “The Music Never Stopped” with Phil Lesh and more.
